Tokio Hotel were formed in 2001 by Bill and Tom, under the name of Black Questionmark.
Later, they met Gustav and Georg and recruited them. Their next official name was Devilish, they then ventured toward the name Tokio Hotel, Tokio, the german spelling of Tokyo, and Hotel, for their love and ambitions to travel and stay in big cities.
Their first studio album, was called Schrei, released in 2005. They re-released Schrei as Schrei So Laut Du Kannst, the following year as Bill's voice was changing. 2007 saw the release of Zimmer 483, and then their first ever English album: Scream. The greatly anticipated 5th album was Humanoid, released in 2009, in both German and English.
